Individual Dance Portraits
- A series portraits are created to capture a dancer's vibrant personality and unique talents.
- Hair lights to highlight the dancers form and foot lights to accentuate the eyes creating a natural 3D effect.
- Normally 2 poses ( 3 variations per-pose) are created & provided as previews to maximize client satisfaction.
- Portrait previews are provided during the photo session to ensure everyone's expectations are met.
- We often collaborate with dance teachers to define poses which reveal the dancers skills & talents.
- Dance performance/action photos, an option for all dancers & encouraged for the more experienced dancers.
Outstanding Group Portrait
- Wide area custom lighting systems to highlight the dancers form creating a natural 3D effect.
- A 24 foot wide background to accommodate large groups, neutral tone floor covering are provides as needed.
- All images are reviewed, color & brightness corrected & retouched as necessary to enhance image quality.
- A series of group photos are created edited together (combined), for best posing & expressions.
- Posing simultaneously with great expressions for class photos is especially difficult for younger children.
- Group photos require special attention. No one wants to look bad in the class photo.
Viewing Stations - Previews - Orders
- Parents/dancers/teachers view images following the photo sessions to ensure satisfaction.
- Our photographic systems are designed to easily accommodate the occasional reshoot or make-up photo.
- Parents select & identify images from previews to build their packages.
- Black & White laser printed previews are provided for a reference & those parents unable to attend.
- Flexible packages for both traditional print & contemporary digital portrait packages.
- Portrait selections & orders may be placed durning the photo session, by phone, mail or e-mail.

Portrait Sets & Backgrounds
- Neutral/Soft - Mid-Tone Backgrounds are Ideal.
( White = Risk of Floating Subjects. )
- Backgrounds to avoid: costume color clash/mismatch & color contamination in hair & skin tones.
- These backdrops works well with light and dark outfits & provides consistency in photo collections.
- Digitally rendered backgrounds (green screens) diminish the photographic experience of students.
- The end result is often lacking authenticity compared to real backgrounds, props & sets.
- We provide real backgrounds, simple props to enhance & add variety to dance portraits.
- Real background & props/portrait sets create a real & memorable photographic experience.
Flexible Packages
- Flexible packages may include multiple, poses, costumes & group photos.
- A variety of costumes, poses & class/group photos may be used to build your package.
